Default Auto-targeting, sice when?

Hello, I don't play GW very often and haven't seen this in any update. Today I played GW and noticed that there is some kind of auto-target added. Whenever I attack a creature and it is killed an other creature near the first one gets targeted by me (with spammable attack skills), so I can keep on spamming the attack without getting illegal targets until there aren't any foes nearby. I think this is a bit too easy if you're farming minotaurs or anything else that needs you to re-target fast. What do you think? Or is this a bug? (then this is in the wrong place for this thread)

I like that it targets next for but i hate that it can target ally NPC's so they start chatting to me in a battle and it also targets dropped items (Kurzick Suppies i noticed) wich is bad for a warrow as we are the one of the two melee classes that need hands free for weapon (thats a joke at Dervs that they just cast all the time and never attack (in my experiance))

It gets a thumbs up from me but does need tweeking

I myself do not like this update. Im smart enough to pick my own target. When they auto target for me it ends up making me run towards a mob that I wouldnt have normally. Like today I was doing cap son I was pulling a few at a time and attacking them once they were dead it would go to a foe thats near foes I didnt pull and a couple of times I ended up aggroing another group because of it. I think we should have the choice if we want auto target or not. I for one would leave it off. And of ALL the things they need to fix or add they pick this?? I dont get it.

It sucks for assassins. I'm in the midst of a combo, bashing buttons as you're supposed to do (pun intended). My henchies co-kill my target. My next attack skill I use is wasted on a target that does have any lead-offhand-dual marker on him. I opt for option to turn the damn thing off.

Or you have a conditional skill and go to use it on a target that meets the condition. But the target dies and the auto-target picks a target that doesn't meet the condition, so you have to deal with the skill recharging.
With [skill]Cruel Spear[/skill] that means I just wasted 7 adrenaline. For Signet of Lost Souls its a wasted 8 seconds.

In both these cases, there are usually other valid targets. But even if there aren't, having the skill fail would be preferable to it being wasted on a target that doesn't fit the condition.

Why was this even a necessary update? I've never seen anyone request it...

Selecting an enemy in the middle of a bunch of allies could sometimes be a royal pain, so I can understand the logic.

I noticed that if you attack an enemy, switch to cast something on an ally, then click an offensive skill, it automatically reselects the enemy you were previously attacking. Is that part of this? That's pretty cool if it is. If it's not new, just forget I asked - I've just started playing a Rit and I'm not used to those sorts of classes.

I am a bit worried how my Sin is going to be affected, though. Maybe there should be a toggle for this sort of "help".
